As the world celebrates Women's Day, actress Isha Koppikar is speaking a truth that most women know but rarely say out loud, that some of the harshest judgement women face comes from other women. In a candid and deeply relatable message shared ahead of March 8, Isha took to her social media to spark a thought-provoking conversation where she posed a question that stings precisely because it's so familiar. She penned, "Aurat ko sabse zyada kaun judge karta hai? Dusri aurat. She got promoted? Haan haan… boss ki favourite hogi. She’s taken a Maldives trip again? Paise aate kahaan se hain? Abs aa gaye?, Ghar pe khaana kaun banata hai?, Family photo daali?, Bas ghar pe hi rehti hogi...Matlab NASA bhi confuse ho jaaye!!!"

But she's not here to shame. Isha's here to reframe. Because the truth, as she sees it, could be as simple as, as she states in her post, "Promotion uski mehnat bhi ho sakti hai, vacation uska hard-earned break ho sakta hai, fitness uska discipline ho sakta hai, khushi… real bhi ho sakti hai. And even if she's faking confidence?, clap karo yaar. Practice kar rahi hai." Isha also calls out the cold wars closer to home which range from the saas-bahu generational standoffs, the nanad-bhabhi silences, and the family photos where everyone smiles like "sab badhiya hai", even when it isn't.

She concludes by adding, "Life already tough hai. Hum ek doosre ke HR department kyun bane hue hain? We don't need to be each other's CCTV cameras. We can be each other's hype team. Hai nah?" This statement from her is a rallying call that cuts across generations, relationships, and social media feeds, and it couldn't be more timely. Isha's message isn't about grand feminist gestures or getting onto the roads to protest. It's about the small, everyday choice to cheer instead of sneer, to uplift instead of undercut. Because sisterhood isn't just a social media hashtag for clout, but a habit that embraces, uplifts and upholds. And this Women's Day, Isha's hard-hitting message to every woman out there is, "Cancel comparison. Unfollow insecurity. Upgrade sisterhood" one conscious decision at a time.
