Jackky Bhagnani to remake Bollywood's biggest flop film with a stellar starcast
Actor Producer Jackky Bhagnani is all set to remake the biggest flop of 1980s The Burning Train on a large scale with a stellar cast. The story of the film is centred around a train, the way it was in the original. The 1980 film was based on a newly launched superfast express that ran between Delhi to Mumbai. However, the train catches fire on its inaugural run due to a bomb-blast and that turns the lives of its passengers upside down. Talking about the remake, Jackky said, “I grew up watching the film. I’m sure many of us did. It’s classic Bollywood and I’m thrilled to be working with my friend Juno to recreate the magic that Ravi Chopra sir had 40 years ago. It has its heart at the right place and we are all set to give it our all.”
The Burning Train was directed by Ravi Chopra and produced by BR Chopra under the banner of BR Films. The late BR Chopra travelled to Los Angeles to get the VFX work done on the film. The new film will be largely based on the original story with only a few changes made to suit the taste of the contemporary audience. The original film had an ensemble star cast featuring Vinod Khanna, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Parveen Babhi, Jitendra, and Neetu Kapoor. Check out Jackky Bhagnani's twitter post here....
