Janhvi Kapoor is slowly and steadily carving a niche for herself in Bollywood with some really meaningful projects in her kitty. The actress who started her B-town journey with Dhadak is gearing up for Karan Johar's most ambitious project 'Takht.' In a recent interview Janhvi revealed that for her role in the film she is learning Kathak and Urdu. The Dostana 2 actress even went on to mention that she is fascinated by the old era and is excited to be a part of this multistarrer project. 

When quizzed on why she  is doing a period drama at such a yoing age. To this Janhvi replied that she has been a huge fan of films like Mughal-E-Azam and Pakeezah and she finds it easy to work on period dramas than modern day characters.Takht has been in the news ever since it was announced by Karan Johar on social media. The film is expected to go on floors by February 2020 and it stars some of the biggest names from Bollywood. On the work front Janhvi will be seen in a number of films this year namely Roohi Afza, Dostana 2, and Gunjan Saxena apart from Takht. The 22-year old was last seen in the Netflix anthology Ghost Stories where she was seen essaying the role of a nurse named Sameera.
