Superstar Ajay Devgn and wife Kajol are one of Bollywood's most powerful couple's and the duo who first began as co-stars are now nearly married for two decades. The Baazigar actress, recently opened about not facing patriarchy and cited the example of having her way with her wedding, even when her father opposed it. Speaking to a news portal, Kajol revealed that her father Shomu Mukherjee was against her decision to get married at the age of 24. He opined that Kajol should work more before tying the knot.
However, her mother, veteran actress Tanuja, emerged as her massive supporter. Kajol revealed that her mother told her to go with her gut and she did exactly what she wanted to do. Ajay Devgn and Kajol tied the knot on February 24, 1999 and this year they will celebrate 22 years of togetherness. Kajol is currently away in Singapore, staying with her daughter Nysa, who is pursuing her education there. While Ajay Devgn is fulfilling his daddy duties in Mumbai with his son Yug. Before their marriage, Ajay and Kajol worked together in films like Ishq, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Dil Kya Kare, U Me Aur Hum, and recently in ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’. The magnum opus was one of the biggest releases of 2020. Meanwhile, on the work front, Kajol is currently looking forward to the release of her digital debut film Tribhanga which will be released on Netflix. The film directed by Renuka Shahane also stars Tanvi Azmi and Mithila Palkar.
