During an interaction with Bollywood Hungama, Karan's friend revealed that the brutal hatred he received after Sushant's death has left Kjo "shattered." According to a recent report in Bollywood Hungama, A close friend of the producer-director revealed, Karan is even more upset that his close ones are receiving death threats as well and his kids are being trolled for no reason. The filmmaker has also told his near and dear ones that what has he done to deserve this treatment from the audience.
The unexpected hate has taken a big toll on the filmmaker's health. Karan Johar has not made any statement except for one post on social media and reportedly, Karan's lawyers have advised him to stay silent about this. He is being trolled because he is close to the star kids and is being blamed for the nepotism and favouritism in the Bollywood industry. After being at the receiving end post-Sushant’s death, Karan unfollowed all the celebrities on Twitter except Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. He even resigned from the MAMI Board as he felt no one from the industry has supported him on the issue.
