Veteran Canadian actor Christopher Plummer, whose decades-long career featured an indelible star turn in "The Sound of Music" and an Oscar win late in life, died on Friday, his manager announced. He was 91. Several celebs took to social media to pay a tribute to the legendary actor, Kareena Kapoor Khan also joined the league. The Tashan actress who has been an avid social media user, took to her Instagram story and paid her condolences to Christopher Plummer. Kareena shared a monochrome pic of the veteran actor dressed in a suit. Mourning the demise of the 91 year old star, Kareena shared heart emoticons. Plummer was one of the most recognizable and admired character actors in Hollywood, with some 100 films under his belt and dozens of television roles.

He finally took home the golden statuette two years later, becoming -- at the age of 82 -- the oldest actor to win an Oscar, for his supporting role in "Beginners" as a man who openly embraces his homosexuality only after his wife dies.In 2018, he earned another Oscar nomination after standing in at the last minute in "All the Money in the World. Recently, he starred in the 2019 whodunit "Knives Out" alongside Daniel Craig, Chris Evans and Jamie Lee Curtis. Meanwhile, Kareena, who is expecting her second her child soon, has wrapped the shooting of Laal Singh Chaddha wherein she will be sharing the screen space with Aamir Khan. This will mark her third collaboration with Aamir after 3 Idiots and Talaash. On the other hand, she has also been roped in for Karan Johar’s multi-starrer period drama Takht along with Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.
