A lot has been said about Mahesh Bhatt and Rhea Chakraborty's relationship after the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14. The maverick filmmaker found himself in the firing line after a lot of pics of the director with the Jalebi actress went viral. Mahesh confirmed to Mumbai police said that Rhea always considered him as her guru. The veteran also denied reports that he had asked Rhea Chakraborty to leave Sushant as claimed in media reports. Mahesh Bhatt told the police that he did not support nepotism and his banner has always given a platform for newcomers. The Sadak 2 director revealed that he had met Sushant only two times.
The Sadak director also denied having approached Sushant for Sadak 2 as he always wanted Sanjay Dutt to highlight the project and not the Kedarnath star. Kangana Ranaut was among those who had claimed that Bhatt had interfered in their relationship and tried to counsel Sushant. Sushant was found hanging at his residence in Mumbai’s Bandra on June 14. In the latest development, the viscera report has ruled out the possibility of any foul play. Though Mumbai Police had denied foul play, citing the post-mortem and asserted that he had died of ‘asphyxia due to hanging. The cops have so far questioned many prominent celebrities including Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra and Mukesh Chhabra.
