Director Sameer Vidwans, who is set to direct Kartik Aaryan in ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’ starring has released an official statement informing about the change in the film’s title. The director said the decision to change the name has been done to avoid hurting religious sentiments. The statement read: “A title of the film is something that emerges organically through the creative process. We have taken a decision to change the title of our recently announced film ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’ to avoid hurting sentiments, even if that’s purely unintentional. Producers of the film and the creative team also are in complete support of this decision. We will be announcing a new title for our love story in the due course of our journey. Sincerely, Sameer Vidwans."
The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala in collaboration with Namah Pictures. The movie is expected to be an epic love story with Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. It will also mark the first collaboration between Kartik and Sajid Nadiadwala. Last month, Kartik Aaryan had shared a video and revealed that he will be starring as the lead in the film. Sharing the post that had guitar music in the background, Kartik wrote, "A story close to my heart #SatyanarayanKiKatha A special film with special people. "The film is expected to go on floors by the end of this year. It will be released in 2022. In a statement, Kartik said, "I have been wanting to work with Sajid sir for sometime now, I couldn’t have asked for a better collaboration. I’m extremely happy that I am a part of Sajid Sir , Shareen and Kishor’s vision. Satyanarayan Ki Katha is a musical love saga which brings together a powerhouse of people who are National award-winning names. It’s also a first for me with Sameer Vidwans sir who has an astute sense of making sensitive topics highly entertaining." Apart from this, Kartik also has Dhamaka lined up for release on an OTT platform and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Kiara Advani and Tabu.
