In the latest bit of development, with regards to the drugs case involving Rhea Chakraborty, as per a Pinlvilla report NCB is likely to summon Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh soon. The digital evidence, seized from Rhea Chakraborty's residence shows Sara and Rhea's "common interests" indulging in marijuana and other kinds of drugs. Over her 3-day course of investigation, Rhea reportedly seems to have revealed names of Bollywood celebrities who consume and procure drugs. Meanwhile, her chat with designer Simone Khambatta about weed have further exposed Rhea's involvement in drugs. With investigation still underway, the NCB is likely to question Sara and Rakul this week.
On the other hand, a report in Free Press Journal on Sunday debunked these claims and stated that Rhea has not named Sara and Rakul. As per the report, NCB deputy director KPS Malhotra has denied preparing any such list of Bollywood celebrities. Earlier, as reported by Times Now the actress is said to have named 25 A-listers during her interrogation who are into consumption and sale of banned narcotics subastances. Meanwhile, NCB has now arrested at least six more people in the case.
According to a India Today report, Karamjeet Singh, Dwayne Fernandes, Sanket Patel, Ankush Arneja, Sandeep Gupta and Aftab Fateh Ansari have been arrested and will be produced in the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate(ACMM) court via video conferencing. Among the six, it is being reported that Dwayne had direct links to Showik and Sushant's staffer Dipesh Sawant. The report describes him as a Mumbai-based drug dealer who deals in hash and curated marijuana. An associate of Showik Chakraborty, India Today reported that Dwayne supplied drugs meant for Sushant Singh Rajput.
