Bollywood actor and producer Nikhil Dwivedi has slammed Bollywood celebs for holidaying in Maldives on the wake of the rising COVID-19 cases across the globe. The Dabangg 3 producer on his Twitter handle, shared his views on celebrities holidaying in Maldives that have been doing the rounds on social media. He even went on to share that it is because of this “tone-deafness” that the industry is often left surprised by the backlash they receive “for unrelated reasons.”

Reacting to a tweet that called out this celebrity trend, Nikhil said, “Absolutely. Then we r surprised at the suddenness of the backlash the movie industry receives for unrelated reasons. We r so self-absorbed & so oblivious to what's around us tht we appear unempathatic. Let me also assure it's not like they r heartless, none are.. just plain stupid (sic).” His reaction comes shortly after photos of Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, Katrina Kaif, Taapsee Pannu, Tara Sutaria, Mouni Roy, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, and many others holidaying it up in the island country went viral on social media.Nikhil who has produced movies like Veere Di Wedding recently made a comeback to acting with Hansal Mehta's web series titled S'cam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story.'
