The track was originally scheduled to be released two days earlier, but the makers postponed it after the passing of legendary singer Asha Bhosle. The team of the film, along with Riteish Deshmukh, shared this update through social media posts, expressing their respect and grief. The song’s release has now created significant excitement among fans who have been eagerly waiting for a glimpse into this grand cinematic tribute.

The anthem “Chhatrapati” stands as a tribute to the bravery, pride, and glorious legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his vision of Hindavi Swarajya. More than just a musical composition, the song represents a grand fusion of courage, history, and cultural pride. Composed by the renowned duo Ajay–Atul, the song has been released in both Marathi and Hindi versions. It features the powerful and emotive vocals of Ajay Gogavale, whose voice adds depth and intensity to the composition. The Hindi lyrics have been penned by celebrated lyricist Manoj Muntashir, enhancing the song’s resonance with a wider audience. Around 80 singers have contributed to this grand musical piece, making every note and rhythm a reflection of collective pride and unity, evoking a deep emotional and historical connection.

Written and directed by Riteish Deshmukh, Raja Shivaji features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Boman Irani, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Amole Gupte, and Genelia Deshmukh along with Riteish himself.
