Rangoli Chandel who is known for her voicing her opinions on social media has slammed Deepika Padukone for visiting the JNU campus. On Tuesday the Chhapaak actress made a surprise visit to JNU to express her solidarity with the students who were attacked by masked goons on Sunday night. She also interacted with JNUSU student president Aishe Ghosh who was injured in the attack. Calling Deepika's visit a PR stunt, Rangoli slammed and questioned if she ever supported any ideology or expressed her views about Article 370 or CAA. She also alleged that Deepika has no interest in what's going on in the lives of JNU students and is only interested in promoting her upcoming film.

Earlier today, Rangoli posted a video of Kangana on social media wherein the actress thanked Deepika and director Meghna Gulzar for making such a film. Rangoli captioned the video as, ‘The pain still lingers. Our family thanks team #chhapaak for a story that needs to be told! The actress went on to wish the entire team of Chhapaak for their upcoming release. Deepika's upcoming film Chhapaak is slated for a release on January 10, 2020, and the movie will also be co-starring Vikrant Massey. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the movie narrates the story of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
