In a shocking development Rhea Chakraborty posted a screen shot of the rape threats she received on Instagram after Sushant Singh Rajput's death. Rhea in her post stated that she was silent after being tagged as a gold digger and murderer but came down heavily when she was told by a troll that she will be raped if she doesn’t commit suicide.
“I was called a gold digger ..I kept quiet, I was called a murderer ....I kept quiet, I was slut shamed ....I kept quiet, But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide @mannu_raaut ? Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment,” Rhea Chakraborty had posted. The actress had also tagged cyber crime helpline, seeking help. “Also I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindia to please take necessary action . ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” Rhea had posted.
Rhea Chakraborty was rumoured to be in a relationship with Sushant Singh Rajput. She had also recorded her statment with the Mumbai Police, investigating Sushant's death by suicide. According to reports, the two were all set to tie the knot in November according to certain sections in the media.
