Wednesday evening  Rhea Chakraborty walked out of Byculla jail after almost a month in judicial custody. The Jalebi actress was granted bail by the Bombay High Court in a drugs case related to her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput's death. After spending 28 days in jail, Rhea finally stepped out of women's prison  around 5.30 pm. After her return, there were many who raised questions as to what affect the current scenario had on the young actress's mind. Well now, her mother Sandhya has finally opened up about the same in an interview with Times Of India. Speaking about the same, Rhea's mother said, What she has gone through... how will she heal from this? But she is a fighter and she must be strong. I’ll have to put her on therapy to help her get over this trauma and reclaim her life.”  However, Rhea’s brother, Showik Chakraborty, continues to be in the jail as his bail application was rejected by the court.

Reportedly, the court rejected Showik’s bail plea on the ground that he was facilitating procurement of drugs for supplying them to actor Sushant Singh Rajput, and was in contact with the drug dealers. Earlier, Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, describing how his client  spent her time in jail the celebrity advocate said, 'She looked after herself in the jail. She used to conduct yoga classes for herself and her jail inmates. She adjusted herself in the jail, because she could not get home food because of the pandemic, and she lived with the inmates as if she was a commoner. Being an army girl, she fought the conditions like a battle, and she is ready to face any person who is trying to accuse her and harm her interests.”

For the unversed, Rhea has been accused by Sushant’s father of abetting the actor’s suicide. She was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in September, after the central agency found evidence tying her to the purchase of banned drugs.  Rajput (34) was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14.  In the FIR filed by K.K Singh, with the Bihar Police, the late actor's family has accused Rhea's father, mother, and brother of financially and mentally exploiting the Kedarnath actor. Yesterday, the actress was spotted  at Santacruz police station. Rhea was accompanied by her father Indrajit Chakraborty. The 'Jalebi' star arrived at the police station following the court's conditions on the basis of which she was granted bail. One of the conditions laid down by the court stated that the actress has to mark her presence for 10 days in the police station after release.  The other few conditions mentioned by the court were that Rhea needs to deposit her passport, was not allowed to travel abroad without court permission and needs inform the investigating officer if she has to leave Greater Mumbai.
