Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Mumbai for her alleged links to drug suppliers. This development comes after three days of questioning wherein Rhea maintained that she had bought drugs only for Sushant. Now according to E-Times report, “Rhea has been taken to Sion hospital for medical examination. She will undergo COVID test along with other drug related examinations. The NCB will seek judicial custody and Rhea will be produced before the magistrate today at 7:30pm via video conferencing. Rhea is also likely to be confronted with her brother Showik and Samuel Miranda.”
Since the NCB has not asked for her remand, Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer may have to approach court for bail. Reacting to Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau, her lawyer, Satish Manshinde shared in a statement, “Travesty of Justice. 3 Central Agencies hounding a single Woman, just because she was in love with a Drug Addict and was suffering from Mental Health issues for several years under the care of 5 Leading Psychiatrists in Mumbai, who ended up committing suicide due to consumption of Illegally Administered Medicines and used drugs.” Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty was arrested on September 4 and was sent to Narcotics Control Bureau's custody for four days.
