A day after Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranada were arrested by the NCB in connection with the drug angle with regards to Sushant Singh Rajput's death, actress Rhea Chakraborty find herself in a sticky wicket. Both Showik and Miranda have admitted to have allegedly procured drugs on instructions of the actress. A Times Now, report also suggest that the payments for drugs were made through Rhea’s cards on the dark net to Samuel Miranda and other members of the alleged ‘syndicate.However, as per a statement by an official from the NCB, no decision has been taken yet to summon the actress in this regard.
The NCB has arrested several drug peddlers in connection with the drug cartel case.The recovered WhatsApp chats from Rhea’s phone reveal that she was involved in substance abuse along with her brother Showik and some others. Earlier, the NCB arrested a few drug peddlers with alleged connections to the brother-sister duo. One of them had also admitted to knowing Showik. The latter reportedly met him at a football club in Bandra for the purpose of drug dealing. The supposed drug conspiracy angle emerged a few weeks back when ED handed over Rhea Chakraborty’s WhatsApp chats with CBI and NCB.
Yesterday, the NCB carried out searches at the residences of Showik and Miranda. The NCB also seized Showik`s laptop and mobile phone. NCB sleuths, accompanied by police officials, raided the residence of Showik Chakraborty in Santa Cruz (West) and Miranda's house in suburban Andheri (West) from 6:30 am. Showik lives with his sister Rhea.Both Showik Chakraborty and Miranda, who is Rajput's house manager, were handed over the summons to join the investigation during the search and were brought to the NCB's zonal office in the Ballard Estate area. NCB is the third Central agency to join the probe into the death of Sushant, after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
