The coronavirus pandemic has hit Bollywood business badly and one of the worst affected films due to the nationwide lockdown was Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 3.The action-packed extravaganza managed to mint Rs 92.31 crore in two few weeks before theatres across the country shut down to curb the spread of the coronavirus. While the pandemic forced the entire industry to shut down, it has been reported that owing to the lockdown, the makers of the film have yet to receive an estimated Rs 40 crore from the distributors.

A source in the report has been quoted saying that the top four national multiplex chains, PVR, Inox, Cinepolis and Carnival, will transfer the money to the stakeholders once the situation is back to normal. The source informs that while the national multiplex chains owe the producers around Rs 15 crore, other plexes and single screens are liable to pay them about Rs 20 crore-Rs 25 crore. The ‘Baaghi 3’ team is also not putting pressure on the theatre chains and independent screens to clear the dues. Baaghi 3, co-starring Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, was directed by Ahmed Khan.
