It has been close to an year since the audience last had a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen. Interestingly speculations are rife that the superstar has already signed his next film in collaboration with Raj Kumar Hirani but the actor and the director is yet to make a official announcement about the same. On the wake of these rumors reports are emerging that Shah Rukh has given his nod for a special appearance in Karan Johar’s Shershaah starring Sidharth Malhotra. This is SRK's second cameo appearance after Brahmastra which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhat, and Amitabh Bachchan.

Since SRK is no mood to experiment the superstar might confine himself to do only cameos till the time he gets a very good script. One of the reasons why SRK might have given his consent to both these films is the presence of Karan Johar who is like family to the actor. Meanwhile, there were also reports that the two good friends will soon collaborate for a film together. Karan Johar is looking at directing Shah Rukh in a blockbuster. The other reason why SRK  might given his nod to Sher Shah due to his special connect with the army. Shah Rukh Khan himself debuted as an army officer Lt. Abhimanyu Rai in the TV series Fauji (1989).

Moreover Shah Rukh does add a starry presence to the film with his charm and impeccable acting skills. Speaking about Shershah the film has been shot in Chandigarh, Palampur, Mumbai, Ladakh and Kashmir and wrapped up on January 12, this year. It will release on July 3 this year. The film is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, was an officer of the Indian Army, who died during the Kargil war at the young age of 24 and was awarded India's highest and most prestigious award for bravery, the Param Vir Chakra, for his actions during the 1999 Kargil War.
