Sitarist Anoushka Shankar completes 30 years of performing and exploring Indian classical music. Over the decades, she has touched the hearts of audiences worldwide for many years, and she is keen to maintain the graph with her latest collaboration. Recently, she kickstarted the North American Tour in Seattle. Soon after that, she has now unveiled her latest album titled 'Chapter III: We Return To Light' in collaboration with Alam Khan and Sarathy Korwar.

Anoushka Shankar and Alam Khan belong from two of the biggest stalwarts of classical music families in India - with Anoushka being the daughter of the legendary sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar and Alam Khan being the son of the renowned Sarod Maestro Ali Akbar Khan. With such rich background, the collaboration is poised to be nothing less than extraordinary. Meanwhile, Anoushka Shankar has collaborated with different producers on each mini-album, and this time too, she is joining forces with Sarathy Korwar - one of the most original and compelling voices in the British jazz scene. With the trio joining forces, this collaboration promises to emerge as grand and promising.

Currently, the 11-time Grammy-nominated Anoushka Shankar is also cherishing the joy of unveiling 'Hiraeth' and 'We Burn So Brightly', the respective first and second singles from her album 'Chapter III: We Return To Light'. For the unversed, Anoushka Shankar had manifested this ambitious trilogy in Goa, hoping to span multiple geographies with nods to her roots. Her desire for the album included a fascination for Goa Trance – India’s electronic music export to the rest of the world, that's brought to the fore in 'Chapter III: We Return To Light'. With a plethora of past releases, and latest releases, Anoushka Shankar is undoubtedly shaping the shifting dynamics of Indian Classical Music.
