Srishti Behl Arya, who was the Director of International Original Film with streaming platform Netflix, has quit the post. She had joined the streaming giant in 2018 and green-lit a lot of recent projects. She reported to Monika Shergill, who led the India Content team, ever since she joined in 2019. In a statement, Srishti Behl Arya had said, “Leading the Netflix originals film team in India over the last three years has been the adventure of a lifetime. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and have learned so much along the way. I couldn’t be more proud of the stories we’ve told, from first time directors, female filmmakers, established voices and so many fresh faces. I wish this wonderful team all the very best and can't wait to see what's ahead.”

OTT players like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+Hotstar and Zee5 have seen massive growth in the Indian market in the past few years on the back of cheap data tariffs and the availability of affordable smartphones. Prior to Netflix, Arya was an independent producer in the Indian film and television industry. Her last day with Netflix will be May 21, 2021. Arya''s next move is not known. Srishti Behl Arya is film producer Goldie Behl’s sister and Bollywood actress Sonal Bendre’s sister-in-law. With an experience spanning decades, Srishti Behl Arya had launched several original films for Netflix like ‘Kiara Advani starrer ‘Guilty’, Anil Kapoor starrer ‘AK vs AK’ and Anushka Sharma produced ‘Bulbbul’. In Bollywood, she has produced films like ‘London Paris New York’ and ‘I, Me aur Main’.
