Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father has levelled several allegations, including abetment to suicide, against Rhea Chakraborty in connection with his son’s death. KK Singh has accused Chakraborty of having befriended Rajput in May 2019 with a clear intent to use his good contacts for the advancement of her own career. * KK Singh has alleged that Chakraborty got Rajput treated by some “conniving” doctors for mental illness while keeping his family in the dark. Speaking to Times Now, Sushant family lawyer, Vikas Singh, revealed that he was expecting Rhea Chakraborty to be arrested over the weekend and is stated that it should happen immediately now.
In his complaint, Rajput's father has also sought to invoke the provisions of the Mental Health Care Act, alleging that the "machinations" of Chakraborty and her family members had caused his son to crack up, despite a successful career in films, and ultimately drove him to suicide. Sushant Singh Rajput’s family lawyer also revealed that he had been contacted around 10 days back and he has been guiding them now.
Another detail revealed by Sushant’s family lawyer to Times Now was that the late actor’s family had reported to Bandra police on February 25 that Sushant is not in good company and that they should ensure that nothing ensure happens to him. He also alleged that Rhea had ensured that the family loses access to Sushant. Mumbai police are already probing the alleged suicide case, and has questioned several Bollywood bigwigs including filmmakers Mahesh Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Rhea Chakraborty has also recorded her statement.
