Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's sea-facing apartment in Bandra where the actor died on June 14th is available for rent. "The apartment has been put up for lease but has yet to get a tenant," a leading daily quoted a 'celebrity broker' as saying. The broker added, “Because of the pandemic, the property hasn’t received that many enquiries. The few interested buyers who have showed up have always enquired about Sushant Singh Rajput. "The apartment is up for lease at ₹4 lakh per month. Sushant had leased the apartment for ₹4.5 lakh per month in December 2019. His deal ran through till December 2022. He was living there with roommates and his girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty.
"It is a beautiful sea view apartment and is ideal for creative minds and a good home for those who migrate to Mumbai for work. Once the pandemic ends and the world opens up to India again, we’re expecting renewed interest from expats and the corporate world, too. This house attracts people who like vibrations and the scenic view," the broker continued. He noted that the owners aren't concerned about the property's prospects and are sure that once the pandemic settles down, it'll find new tenants, but admitted that some people are 'put off' by its history.
Sushant had revealed how he was first shown the pictures of the house when he was shooting for a film in Budapest. He loved the place so much that he decided to move in. “I was really, really waiting to get here to experience this house,” he had said in an episode of Where the Heart is. A report in Square Feat India states that Sushant Singh Rajput rented the apartment in December 2019, and was to reside there till December 2022. The report also states that the rent Sushant was paying was divided into three parts: for the first year, it was Rs 4.3 lakh per month, for the second year it was Rs 4.51 lakh and for the third year it was 4.74lakh per month.
