Sushant’s close friend and creative manager Siddharth Pithani according to a report is being pressurised by Sushant’s family to speak against Rhea. Siddharth who was also his flat mate has written an e-mail to Bandra Police alleging he got calls from Sushant’s family including Mitu Singh and OP Singh, and senior SC advocate on July 22 and asked him about Rhea’s expenses she incurred during her stay with the late actor. Continuing further he said, that OP Singh called him again asking him to give a statement against Rhea to Bihar Police through a Whatsapp call. The email read, “I was told I would receive a phone call. I got a call from an unknown WhatsApp number, but it ended within 40 seconds, and no statement was recorded.” Siddharth’s email has been mentioned in Rhea’s petition filed in the Supreme Court.
The actress wants the investigation of the FIR filed by Sushant’s father against her to be transferred to Mumbai. In her petition, she claimed that Rajput was suffering from “depression from some time and was also on “anti-depressants”. “He committed suicide on the morning of June 14, 2020, at his Bandra residence by hanging himself,” read the petition. After Sushant's demise, Siddharth had shared a throwback picture remembering the late actor. Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on 14th June thereby sending a shockwave across the entire film industry. The 34-year old actor took his life by hanging himself, as per police statements and media reports.
