The Narcotics Control Bureau has made two more arrests in drugs supply case. 'Saavdhan India' actress Preetika Chauhan, 30, was among one of the people who got arrested after getting caught for buying drugs red-handed. The actress is also going to be produced before the court soon. Preetika was also part of the TV show 'Devon Ke Dev Mahadev'. Five people were arrested from Versova, Mumbai. Two officials from the NCB were deployed in plain clothes when they arrested Preetika and the drug supplier Faisal.
This comes in the wake of the ongoing drug probe after late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. NCB officials are probing every link of all accused in the case, including suppliers, peddlers and also consumers. The investigation into Bollywood connection with drugs began when the ED retrieved Rhea Chakraborty's WhatsApp messages in which she was allegedly discussing drugs with her friends and other people. The ED then asked the NCB to probe the matter. Many Bollywood celebrities came into NCB's radar after this. Actresses like Deepika Padukone, Sharddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh were also questioned in the case. Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the NCB along with her brother, Showik Chakraborty, Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda and his employee Dipesh Sawant. Rhea and Dipesh were released on bail earlier this month. Rhea spent 28 days in Mumbai's Byculla jail. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14. The Central Bureau of Investigation is probing his death case.
