In a major swoop,  Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor,  and Jug Jugg Jeeyo director Raj Mehta have reportedly tested positive for COVID 19 amid shooting in Chandigarh. As per a reports a source close to the film project told a entertainment portal that Neetu, Varun along with Raj have been tested positive for the novel coronavirus and that the shoot has been halted. While the stars have not yet confirmed the same, the portal claimed that a source close to shooting informed them. The  report also mentioned that the shoot that had commenced last month has been put on hold until Varun, Neetu, and director Raj are healthy again.

Just a few weeks back, a video of Neetu Kapoor taking the COVID 19 test on the sets had gone viral and often, the senior star gave fans a glimpse of the precautions being taken on the sets of the film including the crew wearing PPE suits, masks and gloves. However, now, if reports are anything to go by, then the leading cast along with the director have been apparently infected with COVID 19. The film’s cast also includes Kiara Advani, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli. While Maniesh recently joined them in Chandigarh, Kiara and Prajakta had jetted off along with Neetu, Varun and Anil from the private airport in Mumbai last month. Even the first look of the film was released last month featuring Varun and Kiara. The film is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
