Veteran actress Sudha Chandran's father KD Chandran passed away in Mumbai due to heart attack. He took his last breath on Sunday morning at a hospital in Mumbai. He was 86-year-old. Confirming the same to Aaj Tak, Sudha Chandran revealed that her father was suffering from dementia. KD Chandran worked in films including Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, China Gate, Junoon Pukar, Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon!, Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai, Koi... Mil Gaya among others. 

The actor was part of several Television shows as well. Recently, the actress had wished her father on his birthday by posting a heartfelt note on her Instagram account. Sudha Chandran established herself as a Bharatnatyam dancer. Known popularly for her role as Ramola Sikand in Kaahin Kissii Roz, she went onto play Yamini in Naagin series. She is currently an anchor for Dangal TV's series Crime Alert. Back in 9185, she was felicitated with National Film Award – Special Jury Award for the Telugu film Mayuri based on her life.
