Veteran Malayalam actor KTS Padannayil died on Thursday (July 22) morning at a private hospital in Kadavanthara, Kochi. He was undergoing treatment for age-related ailments. On July 19, he was admitted to a private hospital in Kadavanthara, Kochi. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran condoled the death of the veteran star. KTS Padannayil started his career as a theatre artist and stepped foot in Mollywood in the 90s. He made his debut with director Rajasenan's Aniyan Bava Chettan Bava, which released in 1995. 

Sreekrishnapurathe Nakshatrathilakkam and Vrudhanmare Sookshikkuka, are some of his notable films. KTS Padannayil impressed everyone with his performance and comedy. He was active in the Malayalam film industry for nearly two decades and acted in more than 60 films. KTS Padannayil is survived by his wife Ramani and four children - Shyam, Swapna, Sannan and Salijan."Prithviraj Sukumaran shared a photo of KTS Padannayil and paid last respects to him. He wrote, "Rest in peace (sic)."Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Education Minister V Sivankutty condoled the demise of Padannayil. M-Town celebs including Mohanlal, Mammootty, Dileep, Suresh Gopi and many others paid tributes to the late actor.
