Women who have accused Sajid Khan of sexual harassment

in 2018 when India's Me Too movement gained credence with many women coming forward to talk about their alleged harrowing experiences with sexual harassment. The one name which came surprised everyone was that of actor-director Sajid Khan. The 48-year old, , known for his films such as Housefull and Baby is the brother of famous director, Farah Khan. Let us have a look at some of the harrowing details shared by women after they encountered Sajid.
 

Saloni Chopra

Saloni Chopra was amongst the first women to speak in detail about her alleged Me Too story with Sajid several years back. She shared how he had made her very uncomfortable and left her in tears when she went for an interview to be his assistant director back in 2011. "He also asked me if I’d ever been sexually abused, I said yes. Then he asked weird questions like if I would ever get a breast job, and talked about how sex is really a mental connection. “It took me years to get over the trauma he put me through. I was so scared around the people I worked with. And I’m sure he’s done this to so many other girls, I just want them to know they’re not alone. It’s been 7 years, and it’s about time I said it out loud,” Saloni wrote in her post.

Rachel Whte

Rachel White, who was in Ungli, explains how Sajid once called her home for auditions and lead her straight to the bedroom and asked her to strip.

I said I was not comfortable meeting at home and to that he said “don’t worry I live with my mom and she’ll be around” I felt reassured and agreed. When I went to his house the maid directed me to his room and the drawing room was empty!! It was his bedroom

I stood like an idiot in one corner of the bedroom wondering where to sit and he was on one side on the treadmill. I clearly rem this episode. When he saw me walk in he goes “pls come this side” all smiling . I walk up towards the treadmill . He was directly staring down at me

I was in a white vest and blue denims and still felt I was standing nude with that gaze. What happens next is that he finishes his cardio and walks up to me asking me about my boobs and making that kind of conversation. I didn’t bother to answer to anything.

After that he asks me to strip for him bcoz there were scenes in a bikini and he needed to see how I looked. I replied saying “there are pics of me in bikinis sent to u,I think that should good for u” n wen he insisted I said “I’m ready to parade ur office in a binkini nt at home

Finally he goes “listen no one has a problem with these things” (and obviously named people) and that if I could seduce him in 5 mins the role was mine.
How this ended was me saying that I didn’t come mentally prepared for this and I left his house!

Aahana Kumra

Besides the two,  'Lipstick Under My Burkha' actress Aahana Kumra also alleged that though Khan did not touch her, he had asked her inappropriate questions when she met him regarding work.In an interview with a leading newspaper, Aahana said that Sajid asked her "Would you have sex with a dog if I gave you Rs 100 crore?".

Mandana Karimi

In an interview with a leading daily, actress Mandana Karimi revealed that Khan made inappropriate remarks when she visited his office to discuss a role in his 2014 film 'Humshakals'. "I was in talks for Sajid Khan's Humshakals at the casting stage. My manager and I visited his office. After meeting producer Vashu Bhagnani, I was in a room with Sajid, when he said, 'Lovely pictures but you need to remove your clothes. If I like what I see, you might get the part,'" said Mandana.

Karishma Upadhyay 

A journalist, Karishma Upadhyay, on Twitter too narrated her tale of harassment by Sajid, who flashed his penis at her during the course of an interview. Speaking about it, she wrote: “The first time I interviewed Sajid Khan in the early 2000s, he called me to the house he shared w/ his sister. Thru the interview he talked about how large his penis is & how he knew how to satisfy a woman.”She added that she had to work with him again while she was working with a music channel. A few years later, I had to work with Sajid when I was at MTV. Initially, I wanted to find a way to not work on that show. Then I realised, why should I let go of an opportunity because a man can’t keep his d**k in his pants. At the end of the first meeting, I forewarned him about behaving himself. I’ll never forget what he said to me, ‘You are fatter than you used to be. I won’t touch you with a barge pole.’ And then he laughed.”

Dimple Paul

Indian model named Dimple Paul, who goes by the name Paula took to Instagram to share how Sajid had harassed her under the pretext of casting her in the movie Housefull. She was 17 when Sajid harassed her. The young lady wrote a long note on Instagram, saying that she had to speak up before the freedom of speech is taken away in the country. She said that she did not speak up in 2018 because she had no godfather in the film industry and had to look after her family. She then added that she is speaking up because her parents are not with her anymore. Sajid allegedly tried to touch her and told her to strip in front of him to get a role in Housefull, the model has said. She concluded her note saying that he deserves to be behind bars not only for casting couch but also for stealing away people's dreams. She said that she did not speak up for fame or money but while re-evaluating her life thought that she should speak up against Sajid.

Simran Suri 

Speaking to Indian Express, she added that Sajid was casting for 2012’s Himmatwala when he called her for an audition to his house. “He was on his treadmill, wearing an undershirt. He said, ‘See, my body is so good!’ I was wondering why a man, who is supposed to be in a professional meeting, wearing sandos! I felt really weird. After some time, he asked me to strip. I was shocked but he said, ‘I am the director. I will have to see your body’,” she is quoted as saying in the report.She said that Sajid pulled down her top and when she protested, asked her to keep his voice down as his mother was in the adjacent room. Simran said she left his home and deleted his number. While the director called her again, she abused him and told him off.
