ATK Mohun Bagan registered the win of ISL 2020 by defeating Kerala Blasters in the opening match of the league. on Friday at the GMC Stadium, Bambolim. Roy Krishna's 67th-minute strike ensured three points for Antonio Lopez Habas' side in the club's first-ever ISL match.  Kerala tried to snatch an equaliser into the stoppage time but the Sandesh Jhingan-led defence stood tall till the last minute. 

Even after four minutes of stoppage time, Kerala fail to snatch something from the opener. Vicuna's side kept a lot of the ball at their feet but they struggled to come up with chances. The home side pushed hard after conceding the goal in the final 20 minutes but ATK Mohun Bagan's defensive organisation did not allow them any space in their attacking third. Kolkata  next face their arch-rivals on November 27 while Kerala Blasters take on NorthEast United a day before the Kolkata derby.
