Dalian, Sep 3 A small number of fans will be allowed to enter the stadium to watch the Guangzhou football derby here on Friday in the new season of the Chinese Super League (CSL).

"A total of 1,500 fans will be allowed to attend tomorrow's match between Guangzhou Evergrande and Guangzhou R&F," vice-president of the Chinese Football Association, Gao Hongbo, said on Thursday, reports Xinhua news agency.

The new season kicked off on July 25. A total of 16 teams have been divided into two groups, and matches are being played in Dalian and Suzhou respectively.

After eight rounds of competing behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dalian Sports Center Stadium will welcome the first group of fans on September 4.
