Hyderabad, Oct 31 Telangana registered 1,445 more coronavirus cases, taking its overall tally to 2.38 lakh, while 1,486 more COVID-19 patients recovered, officials said on Saturday.

Hyderabad accounted for highest 286 infections reported in the past 24 hours, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri district 122, Rangareddy 107, Nalgonda 102, Bhadradri Kothagudem 90, Khammam 77, Karimnagar 65, Warangal Urban 53, Siddipet 43, Jagityal 35, Mehboobnagar 28, Sangareddy 27, and Rajanna Siricilla 26.

Six more COVID-19 patients died in the southern state, raising its death toll to 1,336.

Telangana's Covid-19 fatality rate now stands at 0.56 per cent compared with India's 1.5 per cent. The recovery rate is 91.72 per cent, which is higher than the national average of 91.3 per cent.

The state tested 41,243 more samples, taking the total corona tests in Telangana over 42 lakh. Of the 2.38 lakh cases, 18,409 are active.
