Good sleep leads to good health, but many people experience sleep issues like difficulty to get asleep after lying down. According to research, 5 to 50 percent of people face the problem of insomnia. Even after tossing and turning all night, they don't get restful sleep.Sleepless nights ruin the following day, causing lethargy and lack of energy. To fall asleep quickly, try the military sleep technique.

What is the Military Sleep Method?

This is a technique used to fall asleep quickly. It is said that this method was developed for American soldiers during wartime so that they could fall asleep in just 2 minutes, even amidst noise or stress.

To use the military sleep method, first close your eyes. Completely relax the muscles of your forehead, cheeks, and jaw. Also, relax your tongue by letting it rest on the bottom of your mouth. Let your shoulders drop as low as possible, completely relaxing them towards the ground.

Now relax the lower part of your body, starting with your thighs, knees, calves, and finally your toes. After your body is relaxed, don't let any thoughts enter your mind. To keep your mind calm, imagine that you are lying by a calm lake with a blue sky above. Don't overthink.
