The coronavirus cases in Delhi climbed to 13,418 as 508 new cases were reported. A record 30 more casualties in the last 24 hours took the death toll to 261, the Delhi Health Department said on Sunday.

Of the total cases, 6,617 were active, it said.

The Delhi health report said that cumulative toll refer to fatalities where the primary cause of death was found to be coronavirus infection, as per the report of the Death Audit Committee on the basis of case sheets received from various hospitals.

"At least 6,540 patients have recovered from coronavirus so far in Delhi while 6,617 cases are active," the department said.
