New Delhi, July 6 With the admission of 39 more patients on Monday, the number of persons undergoing treatment at the newly set up Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre and Hospital in south Delhi's Chhattarpur area has gone up to 60.

"By today's evening, we have 60 patients receiving treatment here," said Additional District Magistrate Arun Gupta.

The 10,000-bed centre was inaugurated on Sunday by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal.

"A total of 21 patients were admitted to the facility today. The condition of all patients is stable. All patients are being looked after by the ITBP Doctors at the centre," DM (South) B M Mishra had said on Sunday.

The healthcare facility is of the size of 20 football fields and set up through the corporate social responsibility initiative along with the government.

The care centre houses a library, a recreational facility, board games, skipping ropes etc for patients, who will be provided five healthy meals a day along with immunity-boosting 'chawyanprash', juices and hot 'kaadha'.
