Diplomat L Prashant Pise, Deputy Director-General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, has been appointed as the next Ambassador to Iraq.

Diplomat L Prashant Pise, Deputy Director-General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, has been appointed as the next Ambassador to Iraq.

Pise is a 1995 batch of Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, according to the Ministry of External Affairs.

He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
