An earthquake of magnitude 3.9 struck Pakistan's Punjab Province on Saturday morning, February 21. According to the National Centre for Seismology, an earthquake struck at a depth of 10 kilometres at around 9.57 am IST, with the epicentre located at 33.76°N, 72.68°E.

The earthquake epicentre was recorded near the northern region, and it lasted for a few seconds, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, measuring a magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale, which is what the National Centre for Seismology measured.

Several cities, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi, felt tremors, forcing people to rush out of their homes to open grounds. However, no reports of casualties or injuries. Sawabi and Haripur, and Khanpur also felt the quake.
