Iran Attack Bahrain: Iranian Drone Strikes US Military Base in Juffair; Video Surfaces

An Iranian drone struck a US military base in Bahrain's Juffair on Wednesday, March 4. Visuals shared on social media of the strike have been verified by LokmatTimes.com. A viral video shows a drone at high speed descending at a certain height and striking the target before blasting and bursting into flames. 

Iran earlier on Wednesday said it has fired hundreds of drones on US assets in Iraq and Kuwait. According to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), it has fired over 230 drones at several US facilities in the Middle East, including a base in Iraq’s Erbil, and the Ali Al Salem Air Base and Camp Arifjan in Kuwait, reported Al Jazeera. Iranian strikes in the Middle East regions damaged communication structures and radar systems on at least seven US sites, stated a report. The attacks come after US-Israel coordinated attacks against Iran resulting killing of top IRGC officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The structures that have been damaged included radars used to track incoming missiles, satellite dishes and radomes – waterproof covers that protect sensitive, long-distance communication equipment, according to a New York Times report. As per the report, these strikes took place in military facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
