A massive swarm of bees was seen near the North Lawn of the White House on Friday, May 15, drawing attention near the media area weeks after first lady Melania Trump introduced new bee colonies to the executive mansion grounds. A video of bees roaming near the white structure has gone viral.

Witnesses first noticed numerous black dots moving around the Pebble Beach press area on the North Lawn. The insects were later identified as a large swarm of bees.

According to reports, the swarm remained in the area for around 20 minutes before settling into a hive on a tree located on the White House grounds.

The incident came weeks after new bee colonies were added as part of efforts to support pollinators at the White House. No injuries or disruptions were reported during the incident.
