Omicron is wreaking havoc in Australia. A record number of people had to be hospitalized due to Covid-19. After this, officials urged companies to allow work from home and recommended people wear masks indoors and take booster doses immediately. According to official figures, 5,300 Australians are currently hospitalized due to Corona. That's slightly lower than the record 5,390 recorded during the BA.1 eruption in January. The numbers are already the highest in the states of Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia since the start of the pandemic.
