Ever since the novel coronavirus first arrived in the American shores, the country recorded the single most highest deaths in a single day.  According to reports, the new finding was tracked through the John Hopkins University tracker, which revealed the worst death toll in US.  The combined figures of Thursday and Friday read a shocking 7,406 deaths which indicates a second wave in America.

Since the virus was first identified in China in late December last year, health experts have said it is primarily spread through coughing and sneezing. President Donald Trump said the government recommendation for all 330 million Americans to wear non-medical masks in places such as grocery stores would last "for a period of time."

President Donald Trump on Friday (local time) announced new guidelines as issued by CDC (Centers for Disease Control) advising the use of "non-medical cloth-based" face coverings. The US coronavirus death toll reached 7,077 on Friday afternoon, according to Johns Hopkins University. The increase of 1,094 deaths today is the most number of deaths in a single day. The total number of cases in the US as on Friday stands at 273,880.
