Lizards are lovely to see in zoo, but when we spot one at our home wall we all get panic. The lizards are spotted more during summers and if you want to get rid of uninvited guests and you want to avoid using chemical repellents, here are few natural ways.

Some natural plants doesn't only look good as a plant but it helps to keep away lizards from home.

  1. Marigold are popular for their vibrant yellow and orange blooms and ease of growth. Their distinct scent deters insects, which in turn reduces the presence of lizards that prey on them. Planting marigolds near windows, balconies, or lizard-prone areas effectively limits the lizards' food source while adding beauty to your home.

2.  Lavender's relaxing fragrance, popular in oils, candles, and skincare, is repellent to lizards and many insects. Planting lavender near entryways deters pests, reducing lizards' incentive to stay, while also scenting your home pleasantly.

3. Chrysanthemums, with their vibrant blooms, brighten any space and naturally repel insects thanks to compounds called pyrethrins. This reduces insect populations, which in turn discourages lizards. Ideal for balconies or insect-prone areas, chrysanthemums also offer diverse colors for enhancing décor.

4. For a simple, low-maintenance option, geraniums are ideal. Their distinct scent, pleasant to humans but repellent to insects and lizards, naturally protects your space. Geraniums thrive in pots, require minimal care, and add a soft, colorful touch to your home. Place them near windows or corners prone to lizards.

5. While mint is prized for its leaves, its flowers also deter lizards due to their strong, sharp scent. Fortunately, mint is easy to grow in a small pot, providing fresh leaves for culinary uses and natural pest control.

Lizards enter homes for insects. Insect-repelling plants like lavender and mint deter both. These plants help when combined with cleanliness, no food crumbs, dampness repair, and sealed cracks. This reduces lizards over time. Avoid harsh chemicals; plants freshen, beautify, and control lizards, offering multiple benefits for an ideal home.
