World Health Day 2026: Odisha Artist Sudarsan Pattnaik Creates 6-Foot Sand Sculpture at Puri Beach

Odisha sand artist Padma Shri Sudarsan Pattnaik created a  6-foot sand sculpture at Puri Beach, Odisha on the occasion of World Health Day. Speaking to the news agency IANS, Pattnaik said that the art is dedicated to doctors, nurse and medical volunteers. "For World Health Day, we have created these sculptures conveying WHO’s message 'Together for Health, Stand with Science.' Through art, I honour and salute the work tirelessly to keep everyone healthy," he added.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is celebrating World Health Day 2026 under the theme “Together for health. Stand with science.” It said it is celebrating the power of scientific collaboration to protect the health of people, animals, plants, and the planet.
