A case has been registered against Kishore Wagh, husband of senior BJP leader Chitra Wagh, who had taken a stand against the Maha Vikas Aghadi government for shielding minister Sanjay Rathod in the Pooja Chavan case. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has filed a case against Kishore Wagh him in unaccounted property case. Now the police are going to investigate the matter further.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau in 2016 had arrested Chitra Wagh who was working with Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Parel for accepting a bribe of Rs 4 lakh. During the Fadnavis government, Kishor Wagh's assets were investigated from December 1, 2006 to July 5, 2016. It was revealed that Wagh had unaccounted wealth of Rs 1 crore.Now during the investigation of this case, ACB has now filed a case and have claimed that 90 per cent of Kishor Wagh's properties in various cities are unaccounted for.
Meanwhile, the BJP has strongly criticized the Mahavikas Aghadi government over the move. BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Praveen Darekar said that MVA government has taken this step as Chitra Wagh spoke against cabinet ministr Sanjay Rathod in the Pooja Chavan suicide case. The Mahavikas Aghadi government does not like to be spoken against. If someone says against, their old cases will be taken out. In this case, BJP is with Chitra Wagh, said Darekar.
