While the possibility of a third wave of corona is being expressed in the Maharashtra, the number of corona patients has also been increasing in the last few days. Against this backdrop, the health system and the administration have started preparations. The state, on the other hand, is trying to speed up vaccination drive. Meanwhile, now Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has made a big announcement about vaccination. He has announced that his goal is to complete the vaccination in the state by August 31.

The Corona review meeting was held at the Divisional Commissioner's Office in Pune. In it, he reviewed about corona situation and vaccination in rural areas including Pune and Pimpri. After the meeting, Ajit Pawar spoke to reporters. 

Pawar said the state was trying to complete the vaccination drive expeditiously, but the supply of vaccines is not consistent. Also, vaccines are being supplied not only to Maharashtra but also to other states. Therefore, such situation is likely to arise. If the supply of vaccines remains normal, efforts are being made to complete vaccination drive by August 31.

Pawar further said that Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad are in the third phase and rural areas are in the fourth phase. However, Ajit Pawar hinted at easing restrictions in rural areas. It is also trying to complete the vaccination campaign in Pune as soon as possible. However, there is a shortage of vaccines. Nevertheless, vaccination drive will be completed.
