Everyone in the state should follow the covid rules, the Chief Minister visited and did aarti on Ashadi Ekadashi, but he followed all the covid rules. Programs should be carried out with minimum number of people in attendance. There are rules for how many people should be at a wedding or other event. Rules are same for general public as well as for the ministers, said Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Also, the next 100 days are important, he said.

It is my personal opinion that citizens who have taken both doses of the vaccine should start venturing out but in a staggering manner. But, many people have different opinions, even experts in the scientific field have different opinions. Some experts believe that 100 to 120 days from now on is very important. That, in 120 days, you have to be more careful. People should adhere to all covid rules. However, these rules are not followed in rural areas. I had gone to a village in Nagar district, where I saw the usual atmosphere, no one was wearing a mask, this is negligence, said Ajit Pawar.

Vaccines should be supplied in proportion to the population, Uttar Pradesh is the largest state in the country. After that, Bihar is followed by Maharashtra. On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that there is a shortage of vaccines due to non-distribution of vaccines. We were told that large quantities of vaccines would be produced in July. However, today is the 21st July and the vaccines are still not available. We can vaccinate 15 to 20 lakh people every day, that is our capacity. Up to 1.5 lakh can be vaccinated in Pune district alone. But, there should be more vaccines available. However, the good news is that people are taking the initiative to get vaccinated, coming forward on their own. Those who were running away from vaccines in the early days want to get the jab now, said Ajit Pawar.
