Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai has been declared a containment zone by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) after some staff at the hospital tested positive for Coronavirus.

As per reports 26 nurses and three doctors have been tested positive for COVID-19 in a span of one week.

The administration has totally sealed the hospital until all the patients test negative twice consecutively. The administration has now sent swab samples of 270 hospital staff including patients for tests.

The source of the infection has been traced to a 70-year-old heart attack patient, who was tested positive for coronavirus on March 27. Soon after, two nurses who had attended to the elderly patient, too, tested positive, following which several nurses began testing positive.
