Pota Village which has a population of 700, under Tarwadi gram panchayat in Nandura taluka of Buldana district, 78 residents of the village have tested covid-19 positive.

Villagers have expressed anger over the lack of any health facility in this village which comes under the primary health center Takarkhed and the health department is demanding attention to this village.

Earlier, 16 patients were found in Pota village when 1 person died due to the infection. After which the administration went to the village and conducted corona tests on the villagers. As there are 105 patients in the village, the entire village has been declared a containment zone.

On the April 13, the health department staff did not visit the village. The villagers, headmasters, anganwadi workers and Asha workers checked the oxygen level of the villagers. The health department is ignoring the order to set up monitoring and inspection camps. There is no primary health center in this remote village.

The village is under Takarkhed Primary Health Center and even though it has become a hotspot, no regular medical camp has been set up here. The villagers have demanded that the health department should provide a team of doctors for this village 24x7 and provide regular health services.
