The coronavirus situation in Maharashtra is getting worse day by day. The cases are increasing rapidly. Due to increasing cases the state is facing shortage of Remdesivir and oxygen used to treat covid patients.

The politics in the state has also gained heat over the covid situation and the shortage of Remdesivir injection. Meanwhile, Leader of opposition Devendra Fadnavis has been directly attacked by the authorities in the state.

Devendra Fadnavis' nephew Tanmay Fadnavis posted a photo of him taking corona vaccine on social media. The Maharashtra Congress has criticized the BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis over how could his nephew who is below 45 years of age could get vaccinated when the central government has already issued guideline regarding vaccination drive.

From April 2, the government started vaccinating all people above 45 years. India started its vaccination drive on January 16 with priority given to all healthcare and frontline workers in the first phase. The second phase started on March 1 where doses were administered to people above the age of 60 and those between 45 and 59 years with specific comorbidities.

Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis, however, is in trouble after a photo of Tanmay Fadnavis getting covid vaccine went viral.

The Maharashtra Congress was quick to criticize Fadnavis and wrote, "The Modi government has made a condition to vaccinate only people above 45 years of age. In such case, how can the nephew of Fadnavis who is less than 45 years of age get vaccinated? The lives of BJP leaders' families are important. So are rest of the citizens insects? Isn't their life worth anything!"
