A big piece of information has come out from Dadar Market and Shivaji Park in Mumbai after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation started conducting Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) in crowded places in the city. About seven Hawkers have tested COVID-19 positive in Dadar's well-known vegetable market. This has created a stir in the Dadar market area. Rapid antigen test on 67 Hawkers was conducted in Dadar station area on Monday. Seven of them have reported corona positive. All seven have now been admitted to the quarantine center.

The vegetable and flower market is a very popular market outside the Dadar railway station and is crowded on a daily basis.

Despite rising COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra a massive crowd was seen at Dadar Market flouting social distancing norms and many were also seen without masks. As the number of corona patients is increasing day by day in Mumbai, the BMC has started a campaign to conduct rapid antigen test in crowded places like malls, railway stations, bus stations and markets in the city. Meanwhile, covid negative reports have also been made mandatory for access to malls in the city.

As many as 3,260 new cases were registered in Mumbai on Monday. The total number of corona patients in Mumbai has now reached 3 lakh 65 thousand 914. The death toll has reached 11,592. At present there are 25 thousand 372 active corona patients in Mumbai.
