Solapur ditrict administration on Saturday imposed weekend restrictions (Saturday-Sunday) from today until further orders.

All establishments except essential services will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday, the administration announced on 27 March. All shops and other commercial activities will be closed.

Solapur district collector Milind Shambharkar and municipal commissioner P Shivshankar announced stringent restrictions in view of the increasing Covid cases.

Accordingly, Solapur rural and city will observe complete lockdown on Saturday and Sunday.  On the other days, night curfew from 11 pm to 7 am is already in place and all other activities have been allowed from 7 am to 7 pm.

Amid rising covid cases Lookng at the alarming rise in cases, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray earlier in the day ordered night curfew in the entire state from Sunday (March 28) onwards.
